(This information is taken from website "www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills /9204/fifthgen.cfm) Antoine left his estate (farm) to his son Amable, w ho he kept at home as his "poteau de viellesse," which translated from t he French means "his support in old age," and, of course, his beneficiar y. This was the custom atthat time whereby the farm is handed down from t he father to his son for several generations.
In 1858 a part of Maskinone was erected as a parich dedicated to St Justi n. Antoine's property, which was situated a short distance from the chur ch on the road called "L'Orimiere," was incorporated into the new paris h. Antoine was one of the firSt parishioners to be buried in this new ceme tery behind the church. Formerly, all burials were in Maskinonge, some s ix miles from StJustin.

Antoine married Marie Anne Sicard de carufel, daughter of Sieur Jean Sicard de carufel and Geneviere Raté, 24 Feb 1800 in Maskinonge. (Marie Anne Sicard de carufel was born in Maskinonge and died in 1856 in Maskinonge.)
